At Moray Seafoods Food Safety is mission critical. For half a century we have built our business to be at the forefront of the Scottish Seafood Industry working with experts in Food Science and we are convinced that the safest and most practical method of shipping our seafood products are frozen.
This is why we have selected and not compromised on the design of our custom re-usable and recyclable cool boxes. They act as mini-freezers, guaranteeing that the delicacies you have bought for your enjoyment remain completely frozen in transit.
Most items that you order are vacuum packed and carefully inserted into your cool box, using bubble wrap and greaseproof paper to wrap items for extra protection where necessary. The cool box is lined with polystyrene to keep all the goods well insulated to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.
We use professional vacuum packaging machines to extract all the air from your packs of seafood. Chefs prefer this format, so we know you will too. The reasons they do are:
- It's the natural way to keep your seafood fresher for longer. Locks in the sea fresh taste.
- Helps protect from freezer burns and takes up little space in your fridge or freezer.
- The packs are more manageable for easy produce handling to and from fridge or freezer.
- Reduces waste as you only draw from the freezer what you need.
Our Cool Boxes are cooler to Re-Use and Re-Cycle
Our Cool Boxes are sturdy and excellent lightweight insulators. To meet our environmental targets we are happy for you to send them back to us. We will clean them and re-use them and we will offset 100% of the returns cost on your next order. We recommend you return the "packet" on Royal Mail service. You will notice on each delivery a returns label to send back the packet to us.
Alternatively after cleaning the cool boxes we recommend you re-cycle it as follows:
- Perfect for Plants - Why not turn your coolers into planters for vegetables and herbs. We do and they're great!
- Perfect for Shopping - Why not store your refrigerated grocery goods in the cooler on your return to the shops. Remember to add your gel packs. It's a great way to keep your products cold if your stopping off before you get home.
- Perfect for Storage - If you have nice jumpers or ornaments that you want to put away for the season, cool boxes are an excellent way of protecting them intact.
- Perfect for Pets - The wild animals that you tend to in your garden will really appreciate the cool box as a refuge from time to time.
- Perfect as a Cooler - Its waterproof, use it for what it was designed for time and time again.
