Moray Seafoods F.A.Q

2. What is Scampi?

A coined word derived from the Italian scampo and used to describe peeled tails, both plain and coated of the species Nephrops Norvegicus or Langoustine.

In parts of Europe the phrase can also refer to non-nephrops species of shellfish in breadcrumbs.... its well worthwhile checking!
